Fast, reliable, box strapping November 1st 2006 Box converter, Cumberland Packaging, reports that it has been so impressed with the reliability and quality of Mosca strapping equipment that it is now using five of the company's machines at its plant in Southend-on-Sea. Cumberland Packaging supplies cardboard boxes to a range of industries, including food, drink, pharmaceutical and engineering. With a turnover of £6million, the company needs fast, reliable strapping to keep pace with its manufacturing equipment. The first Mosca strapping machine - a ROTRC - was installed after trials confirmed its quality. The machine's success led Cumberland to purchase further models, and today all four of its main lines have a Mosca strapper at their end - the ROTRC, plus an ROATRS and two ROMP4 models. All four machines incorporates Mosca's brushless motors, direct drive technology, which minimises the number of moving parts for excellent long-term reliability and performance.
