Simulator heritage May 1st 2008 Mentor Training has donated its
Safetruck simulator to the National
Fork Truck Heritage Centre at the
Midland Railway Centre, Butterley,
Derbyshire.
Used extensively in the Mentor
Training Centre, the interactive tool
was constantly hired out. Now,
however, it is technologically
surpassed and redundant.
The simulator mimics the cab of
a counterbalance fork lift with virtual
reality computer technology, to
create loading, unloading,
transportation, safe and unsafe
situations.
The official presentation took
place on April 1st when Emily
Gregory, marketing manager of
Mentor, handed over the machine to
Jim Brindley, director of NFTHC. More articles from Mentor FLT Training Ltd: |
