Sensor Range Extended November 1st 2004 The capabilities of Leuze Mayser’s 96 Series of photo-electronic sensors has been extended with the addition of a new laser light scanner.
Model HRT 96-5000 is equipped with background suppression for increased reliability and has an extended scanning range to 15m.
Its memory function allows individual application settings to be retained for future use.
The new sensor operates using the phase measurement principle and is able to scan objects at a distance of up to 5m. However, in conjunction with a reflective film, scanning depths to 15m can be achieved. Applications include position monitoring, contour and volume measurement and determination of stack height.
Simple set-up procedure using the integral ‘teach-in’ facility combines with a set-and-store function that allows individual application settings to be retained. More articles from Leuze Mayser Electronic Limited: |
