Easy loading September 1st 2005 Two Truckloada mobile lifting platforms from Thorworld Industries have boosted efficiency at an Initial City Link distribution operation. They have streamlined loading procedures and reduced the number of vehicles needed at the Computer 2000 logistics centre in Leicestershire.
The levellers on four bays used by Initial City Link do not reach floor level, so it could not use low floor, double deck vehicles and, instead, used conventional vehicles that could take only 28 full cages.
Truckloada platforms enable the double deck vehicles to be used.
They can be loaded with up to 43 cages and are designed for loading and unloading any vehicle or raised loading bay area with loads to 3000kg. The platform has a minimum height of 46 to 56mm when lowered. More articles from Thorworld Industries: |
