Bays equipped

Easilift Loading Systems has supplied loading bay equipment for a national distribution centre opened in Huddersfield by the Instore retail chain.

The building consists of a 350 000ft2 warehouse with 27 loading bays. Each bay has an Easilift electrically operated, insulated, sectional overhead door, with safety edges at the bottom and a Plasticol finish to the external face.

To seal the gap between building and vehicle and protect employees and goods from extremes of temperature and draughts, each bay has a sturdy 3500 by 4100mm high collapsible frame dock shelter. It has a secondary pull-down head curtain to accommodate both double deck and conventional vehicles.

Also supplied were Easilift model 232 electro hydraulic swing lip type Poweramp dock levellers, of 2100 by 2500mm, with a 6000kg capacity. These provide a safe bridge between dock and vehicle.

Accessories provided included external LED traffic light and an internal angle poise dock light, plus integrated control panel.
