An upwards turn in ramp exports March 1st 2007 Loading and unloading equipment specialists, Thorworld Industries, is reversing the trend for yardramps to be imported into the UK from low-wage economies by capturing increased export business. Two seven tonne Economy range models together with a 10 tonne Deluxe ramp have recently been sold to new customers in Hungary, Lithuania and Poland, and in Thorworld's first ever export sale to Thailand, a seven tonne Economy ramp has been despatched to a company in Bangkok. . "It's satisfying to know that despite increasing numbers of what are sometimes poorly-built, cheap foreign imports our top quality ramps are experiencing increasing demand from discerning customers around the world," comments Thorworld managing director John Meale.
