Elf and safety problem solved
November 1st 2007

Packline has solved a lifting problem for Santa who needed a safe means of lifting sacks of toys onto the back of his sleigh.

Packline was asked to design the handlebars as antlers and Santa's helpers insisted that the main construction was painted red.

Packline based the design on its standard range of Compac stainless steel mobile lifters and made a few alterations, such as replacing the lifter's castors with ski blades and insulating the main control cabinet. The sack lifting attachment comprised an articulating mechanical hand arrangement to grip the neck of the sack prior to lifting and positioning safely onto the sleigh.

Chris Baker, MD, says I am sure there will be sceptics who find this article far-fetched. All I can say to them is humbug and to everybody else Happy Christmas."
