Labellers help solve returns problem March 1st 2004 Adshead Ratcliffe, manufacturer of building and DIY sealant products, has solved a growing returns problem using a system devised by handheld labelling specialist, Positive ID.
Arbo brand sealants are used in the glazing and construction industries. Most have a shelf life of 12 months, but for some it is just three months. It is therefore imperative that goods can be monitored easily as those that are at, or close to, their expiry date are at risk of the customer returning them. Equally, customers may claim that goods are faulty when they had simply gone out of date.
The solution was provided by Positive ID who supplied a two-line handheld label gun with labels to display the products colour, date of manufacture and batch number.
Information is printed by the gun and applied directly to the product as it comes off the production line by the operator in a single, quick operation. Constant information is printed in red on the label. More articles from Positive ID Labelling Systems: |
