Productivity and safety key to truck's success
January 1st 2008

Designed to ensure maximum productivity at every stage of the materials handling operation, the Toyota Tonero has a range of features to make every manoeuvre as safe and simple as possible, ensuring the operator and truck work effectively and comfortably throughout a shift.

Access to the truck is simplified by a large step and assist grip and, once in the truck, operators are said to benefit from greater floor space and good head clearance.

Manoeuvres are made easier as operators have a small steering wheel that allows for quick and easy turns.

Toyota's System of Active Stability is designed to enhance productivity, with features such as the Active Steering Synchroniser ensuring that the steering wheel is constantly re-aligned with the rear wheels, so the truck always sets off in the direction expected.

SAS Automatic Fork Levelling makes repetitive loading and unloading operations quicker by enabling the forks to be set to a horizontal position at the touch of a button. This feature enables the forks to pick up pallets accurately, giving a high degree of protection to the contents and minimal risk of damage from the forks.

Available in seven models with load capacities from 1.5 to 3.5t and offering a choice of diesel or LPG engines, customers can choose the forklift that best suits their application and conditions. The Toyota Tonero can be customised to suit the specific needs of each customer.
