Getting through the grind March 1st 2006 Laser grinding a concrete floor to the Concrete Society TR34 DM2 flatness standard has enabled TNT logistics to install VNA racking and provide 2,000 more pallet spaces at its Hams Hall distribution centre in the West Midlands.
TNT designed a new racking layout with half the storage being VNW and half wide aisles.
Concrete Grinding was appointed to upgrade the VNA aisles to allow wire-guided trucks to operate at maximum efficiency. Following a profileograph survey six 60m long aisles were ground to TR34 DM2 standard with Concrete Grinding's laser-grinder machine.
the work was carried out to very tight deadlines at a rate of three days per aisle, withe warehouse continuing to function throughout the contract.
As part of the job Concrete Grinding also repaired some 180 linear metres of floor joints. More articles from Concrete Grinding Ltd: |
