Tough door
March 1st 2007 A giant Ramdoor Plus 2 door from Union Industries is helping protect products from rain and wind and reduced heat loss in a huge prefabricated tent used by TRW for temporary storage. Two large PVC canopy curtains were supplied with the 2000m2 semi-permanent tent structure, but were not capable of withstanding high winds and, invariably, were left open. A Ramdoor Plus 2 (1.5m/sec operating speed) replaced the curtains and is fitted with three wind bars. The 5.3 by 4.8m door was mounted external to the opening and fixed to the internal steel structure, sandwiching the PVC of the tent between uprights to achieve a sound weather seal.
