High speed roller door launches at IMHX
January 1st 2007 Ahigh speed roller door will be launched by sara/Loading Bay specialists at this year's IMHX. The Sprint 600 has been developed to cope with the most demanding environments and with intensive traffic while maintaining the company's high standards of safety. The door is of modular construction and can be tailored easily to the requirements of individual clients. A high priority has also been placed on the door's appearance. Opening speeds are to 3m/s and the door is powered by sara's new intelligent MCC vector control. This system combines high performance, quieter operation and reduced energy costs. In turn, all component parts of the door, from the materials to the control system and safety devices, are designed to cope with high stresses for long periods. The door's side frames are manufactured in anodised aluminium and there is a choice of door curtains and colours. Wind resistance is in accordance with EN 12424, Class 3, which corresponds to wind speeds of up to hurricane force. The door has an integrated counterbalancing and tension system. This is said to ensure safe opening and closing with door curtain tension maintained at all times when rolling, ensuring smooth operation in the windiest of locations. The door curtain can be made from transparent PVC to optimise safety by improving the view of oncoming traffic, or from Rolltex, a rigid yet light polyester fabric.
