Air curtains May 1st 2007 Industrial over-door air curtains
from Airbloc are providing an
energy-saving heating solution for
British Airways at its special
handling cargo centre at Heathrow,
that includes a refrigerated unit for
temperature controlled products
and storage for light goods.
A total of 15 Airbloc AB300, 400
and 500 industrial air curtains were
fitted to loading bay doors by Derry
Building Services. Mounted above
the doorways, the gas-heated air
curtains operate at full heat when
the doors are open, but
automatically drop to low speed
when the doors are closed again.
Heat produced by the air
curtains supplements the main
heating system, so economical
operation of both air curtains and
heating system is maintained. More articles from Ambirad Ltd: |
