Refurb contract
July 1st 2007

Chivas Brothers has awarded a major contract for an upgrade to its Palletisation and Automatic Despatch facility to Excel Automation. The contract requires total refurbishment of eight stacker cranes complete with new drives, introduction of latest positioning control technology and provision of new two-person cabs. The project also requires the replacement of a significant amount of pallet conveyors. In addition, Excel Automation has reconfigured the extensive conveying areas using a combination of twin and triple strand chain conveyors and powered roller conveyors.
