Compact RFI device
January 1st 2006

A compact RFI read-write system suitable for high speed conveyor lines has been introduced by Leuze Mayser and is said to ensure the highest of read/write standards over distances of 90mm.

Typical of the tracking applications that the RFM32 will address are object detection in automated warehousing and handling applications, giving a high data transfer rate and precise detection at conveyor belt speeds of 6m/sec.

RFID is gaining an impact in areas where there needs to be a rapid exchange of data between two objects, the transponders and the reading device. Leuze Mayser has responded to this need with an expanding RFI product range with read-write capabilities from 30 to 700mm.

Designed for industrial applications, the RFM32 is splash water protected to IP67, insensitive to dirt accumulation and can operate across the range -25 to 60°.
