Bespoke rooftop solutions
May 1st 2007 Safetyworks & Solutions recently
completed a bespoke installation
on behalf of the London Borough
of Camden.
Maintenance crews and external
contractors require regular access
to the building's roof, so achieving
safe access compliant with HSE
guidelines was a priority
For safe movement
around the roof, Easyguard
permanent free-standing
handrails were installed in
conjunction with two
bespoke steel walkways.
Easyguard is galvanised to
BS/EN 1461, lightweight and
easy to assemble. For this
installation, it was powder
coated over galvanised steel.
The base plates have bonded
ribbed rubber mats that include an
EPDM foam infill. This reduces
heat transfer to the roof membrane,
thereby reducing membrane
