Cost savings on water treatment
November 1st 2007 New from B.A.C.Balticare, the Balticare Dolphin System is a water treatment programme that controls scaling, corrosion, fouling and bacteriological growth in cooling towers and evaporative condensers. The fully automatic system can be fitted to treat either new or existing cooling water systems and satisfies the HSE-Approved Code of Practice and Guidance L8 for the control of legionella bacteria. In a typical hard water area, for example, chemical costs are reduced by 90%, water use is 15 to 20% less and capital and running costs for a water softener are eliminated.
