The original Fluoresave product was aimed at Fluorescent lighting and led to energy savings of around 30%.

The new D - Discharge model works in the same way but as Discharge lighting has a longer warm up period on switch on, the unit delivers full power for 8 minutes before switching to energy saving mode. Savings of 20% can be expected but this can add up as discharge lighting often uses high wattage (250/400W) lamps.
