Optional extras for chillers May 1st 2005 Optional extras are now offered by Daikin Europe for its large screw chillers and include heat recovery, inverter fans and fans with high external static pressure.
The company has also fitted standard filters for both water and air cooled chillers equipped with brazed plate heat exchangers.
The heat recovery facility for the air cooled R-407C chiller range (40 to 200HP) optimises both cooling and heat recovery capacities to maximise unit efficiency and generate energy savings.
An additional heat recovery exchanger mounted in series with the air cooled condenser allows heat, that would otherwise have been rejected to atmosphere, to be used for heating water to 60°C.
Use of inverter fans enables stepless condensing pressure control to ensure stable operation under all conditions.
Daikin says that unlike a conventional heat recovery unit, its device accurately controls the hot water temperature. A digital input via a factory-fitted hot water return sensor or a field-fitted hot water tank thermostat enables automatic changeover between cooling and heat recovery. This avoids heating water to higher temperatures than are required.
Units with heat recovery are compatible with the Daikin Integrated Chiller Network, a system that enables any four chillers to operate simultaneously as though they were a single unit. By giving priority to the heat recovery unit, the generation of hot water is reliable at part load conditions.
Use of inverter fans as a separate option allows control stability and steady fan speed operation. More articles from Daikin Airconditioning UK Ltd: |
