Motor policy May 1st 2009 An energy seminar organised by
Brammer UK has inspired a leading
manufacturer of corrugated board to
commit to only specifying energyefficient
EFF1 motors at its largest
UK manufacturing facility.
There are hundreds of motors on
site and energy is one of Abbey's
largest business costs.
Process improvement manager
Paul Gale was among 50 decisionmakers
from UK manufacturers at
the energy seminar. He was
impressed by the presentation
detailing the potential energy and
carbon savings to be made by
replacing less efficient motors with
EFF1 energy-efficient units.
As a result, Abbey Corrugated's
energy policy now commits the
company to only using EFF1
products. Typical savings range from
£1000 to £10 000 over a 10-year life
cycle depending on the size of the
motor. More articles from Brammer UK Ltd: |
