Industrial wireless hub

Hirschmann Electronics will be introducing what it believes to be worlds first industrial wireless hub at this years Nemex show (30 March to 1 April, NEC, Birmingham). Using the worldwide standard IEEE802.11b, the Bat brings the ease of use of wireless Ethernet to the industrial environment. Running on the industrial standard power supply of 24vdc, the din rail mountable Bat uses a separate aerial to achieve excellent coverage in the electrically noisy areas familiar to industrial applications. Transmission distances to 100m in ideal conditions are achievable without difficulty. The Bat also claims to offer improved user efficiency and machine productivity.
