Beware of the rogue dealers

Fulton Boiler Works has come to the rescue of Friction Dynamics, following installation of an energy management system that included six Fulton vertical steam boilers that were claimed by an unscrupulous dealer to be reconditioned.

Within a week of installation, one boiler overheated due to heavy scale. Fulton’s advice was sought even though the boilers were ‘reconditioned’ and bought from a third party. Fulton’s engineer found the only sign of reconditioning was a resprayed metal case and other cosmetic features. Five boilers were subsequently condemned at their annual insurance inspection.

Friction Dynamics was impressed by Fulton’s help and ordered replacement 60J gas-fired boilers from the company. These have proved reliable and burn 10% less gas than the previous system.
