Light control
January 1st 2004

Andromeda Telematics has completed a European Installation Bus (EIB)-based intelligent building solution at London Undergrounds Canary Wharf station.

The system provides complete control over the lighting schemes and prevailing light levels at the station to ensure the most cost effective use of energy.

It is based on a decentralised bms where devices communicate events via telegrams and all devices are controlled through the EIB (Konnex protocol).

To save energy, lighting time controls are set to 75 lux during engineering hours. The instabus system returns the lighting to normal levels outside these periods.
