Tax relieving

To heat its refurbished warehouse, production and distribution centre in Shipley, West Yorkshire, HC Slingsby opted for a Reznor V3 solution. Being on the government's Energy Technology List means the equipment is potentially eligible for 100% first year tax relief on capital and installation costs, under the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme.

In the 6500 m2 facility, which has floor to ceiling racking fitted in four of the five warehouse bays, a total of 17 ECA-approved V3 heaters were positioned at high levels between the racks. The gas-fired units deliver controlled-temperature warm air down and between the racking. 19 ceiling mounted destratification fans re-circulating warm air back to floor level to enhance fuel efficiency.
