Air-cooled chillers
January 1st 2008 Coolmation, distributor for the
Rhoss range of chillers, has
introduced the Y Power scroll
series of air cooled chillers. In
cooling capacities from 368 to
523kW, they run on environmentallyfriendly
refrigerant R410a.
Units are Eurovent approved
and have five or six scroll
compressors to provide five or six
capacity steps with high efficiency
at partial loads. They also feature a
specially-designed stainless steel
plate evaporator to minimise
counter-flow and pressure drops.
This increases the efficiency of
evaporation and helps reduce
energy consumption pro rata.
Other features include microprocessor
control, improved
condenser fin and tube design and
