Emergency support July 1st 2008 Power Electrics, working
through Bridgend-based
SWALEC Contracting, has
provided a standby diesel
generator for Bronglais
General Hospital in Wales.
The compact, integrated
unit includes a 1500kVA
prime-rated diesel
generator in a soundreduced
container and is
rated at 75dBA@1m.
Its 68 000L doubleskinned
underground fuel
tank is connected to the
day tank and generator set
via double skin fuel pipes,
with fuel pumped to the set
using a fully automated duty/
standby pumping system.
The 125 micro dry film
thickness of the paint
system complies with BS
3900 F2 for 1000h and will
withstand a continuous salt
spray for 700h without any
sign of corrosion. Emissions
of CO and HC were
minimised by the
development of a
combination exhaust system
using the latest catalysation
and soot entrapment
technologies. |
