Controlling energy use May 1st 2005 The new Ultraconomy capacity control for adsorption dryers that Donaldson introduced into some models last year, is now available for all heatless adsorption dryers and can be retrofitted to high pressure ranges.
The company says that the regeneration air requirement and energy consumption are reduced by up to 66% compared to dryers with conventional control systems.
The control with dewpoint transmitter operates dewpoint-dependently and monitors all phases of the dryer cycle, controlling it in such a way that the desiccant load is held at a minimum, ensuring a long service life can be achieved.
A multitude of parameters that influence the operation and efficiency of the dryer can be configured. These possibilities are greater if the external programming device – Programmer – is used.
Attached to the programming interface, it allows 10 sub-menus to be called up and more than 50 different parameters to be individually adjusted.
Further energy saving functions include a compressor synchronisation control. More articles from Donaldson Filtration (GB) Ltd: |
