Energy 2004 a hot ticket July 1st 2004 With the cost of electricity set to rise steadily over the next two years the implications of the Governments Climate Change Levy will now begin to affect manufacturing and industry in general. Now is the time to be looking at energy use throughout your facility and the Energy 2004 Exhibition is an extremely useful resource. Here, IP&E looks at what visitors can expect to see at this, the UKs only dedicated energy show for industry and commerce
Following its first two successful years at the British Motorcycle Museum (which is now closed following a fire towards the end of 2003) the Energy 2004 show has re-located to the re-developed Telford International Centre. Taking place on 8th-9th September from 9am to 4pm daily the event, sponsored by London Energy, combines an exhibition, conference and workshops giving the visitor a wide-ranging informative experience that will justify their time away from the workplace.
Readers of IP&E can be assured that the exhibiting companies and the surrounding educational activities are focused on users from industry, manufacturing and the commercial sector. A visitors time will not be wasted wandering along aisles packed with start up companies looking for funding for their new solar powered gizmo. Its not that kind of energy show.
The Energy 2004 exhibition has been designed to appeal to engineers and contractors, as well as facilities/energy managers and service procurement professionals. Research carried out during the 2003 event indicates that over 90% of visitors regarded the show and conference as relevant to their job functions. Main product/ service areas of interest were energy monitoring and targeting, compressed air, energy supply, lighting, drives, environmental protection, Building Management Services, heating, air conditioning and CHP. Significantly, 67% of the visitors rated the 2003 show as the most successful exhibition in its sector.
